Wow, what an experience that was!
Its a given that they do everything better in the US but when it comes to quilting they are just on another level.
Products I had only read about or seen in You Tube tutorials where just all there, waiting for me and my credit card!
Did I go mad? You bet I did - was not even thinking of my baggage allowance back to Prague.
Having bought a new to me Handi Quilter Avante last year I was particularly keen to see what gizmos I could buy to enhance my experience. Red Snappers- yes please. Sewtites Magnum magnets - give me a box. https://bit.ly/3HRhmuKSnap on belly bar tubes- would be rude not to. Now yes, these all do exactly the same thing but what if the others did not work?
I also bought my body weight in long arm rulers , plus a bag to fit them all in. Loving Amanda Murphy products. Did I tell you that we cannot buy this stuff over here in.
A huge shout out has to go the the Modern Quilt Guid for putting on such an amazing event ( yes I am a member now). I loved how there was so much space everywhere and even though I went every day I still found new things to buy and see. I took a laid back attitude to the quilt exhibitions because its easy to go into over drive but it was so exciting to see all those beautiful quilts. Loved picking out my quilty friend's names who were exhibiting- that just gave it all an extra thrill.
Quilt Con next year is in Raleigh North Carolina. Am I going - hell yes!
See you there.
